Why join the Jaycees?
Jaycees are builders. There are 300,000 Jaycees in 7,000 local organizations throughout the nation. They conduct countless different projects and programs geared to building better people to meet the needs of their communities. People become involved in the Jaycees for many reasons. But all Jaycees have one thing in common: they believe that our tomorrow depends on what we accomplish today.
Being a Jaycees member provides an opportunity to give back to Burlington, along with the rewarding feeling that comes with that and the potential to make lasting friendships along the way. Most importantly, we have fun! We are always looking for new members and fresh ideas! We meet once a month – come join us and become a bigger part of our great community!
What do the Burlington Area Jaycees do?
The Burlington Area Jaycees are proud to support the community pool, United Way, Love Inc. and other various community organizations. We do this with money earned at one of our annual fundraisers such as the ‘Off the Hook’ Ice Fishing Tournament and the craft fair held at Echo Park Memorial Day weekend. Along with fundraising we run different events throughout the year for the community to benefit from such as Safety Town, Pitch, Hit and Run, and others events around town.
